A structured gel manicure adds a carefully balanced layer of gel over the natural nail. The architecture is tailored to the nail’s length and condition to create a refined profile with additional support.

The service includes precision dry preparation and can be finished with one color or upgraded with French, chrome, Cat Eye or custom nail art. After each client, reusable instruments complete cleaning, disinfection, sealed-pouch preparation and medical-grade autoclave sterilization.

What “structured” means

Structured gel is shaped rather than simply brushed on as a flat layer. The artist evaluates the natural nail, then distributes product to support the stress area and create an intentional profile. The goal is not maximum thickness; it is proportionate architecture for the client’s length, shape and daily use.

Assessment before product selection

No single gel or application is ideal for every nail. Flexibility, existing damage, length, previous material and maintenance history matter. Your artist decides whether the natural nail can be maintained with structured gel or whether another service, a shorter length or removal is more appropriate.

From preparation to finish

The appointment combines dry Russian Manicure preparation with nail shaping and structured application. Product is placed and cured according to the system, refined where necessary and completed with color and top coat. Nail art can be added, but complex designs require additional booking time.

Refills and ongoing maintenance

As the natural nail grows, the position of the structure changes. Timely maintenance lets the artist reassess the nail, rebalance the product and check for lifting or damage. Avoid picking or peeling gel, because forced removal can take layers from the natural nail.

What is a structured gel manicure?

It is a shaped gel overlay over the natural nail, designed to create proportionate support and a refined finish.

Is structured gel the same as extensions?

No. Structured gel works with the existing natural length. Extensions create additional length beyond the natural free edge.

Is builder gel suitable for every client?

Suitability depends on nail condition, length, previous product and lifestyle. The artist assesses these factors before choosing the service and product approach.

Can another salon’s gel be filled?

Sometimes, but only after assessment. Unknown, lifting or poorly balanced material may need removal rather than being covered.

Can nail art be added?

Yes. French, chrome, Cat Eye, stamping and custom designs can be selected when booking or discussed with your artist.

How should I care for structured gel?

Use cuticle oil, wear gloves for prolonged water or chemical exposure, avoid using nails as tools and never peel lifting product.
