Biography
From forensic precision to nail artistry
Siranush Ambartsumian was born in Armenia and grew up in Russia. She graduated from high school with a Gold Medal and later graduated from university in Russia with honors, earning a degree in forensic examination and specializing in the examination of substances, materials and products made from them.
She spent approximately five years working as a forensic handwriting expert. Her work required exceptional precision and attention to the smallest details. Those skills later transferred naturally into her work as a nail artist, especially when creating precise, intricate and highly detailed nail designs.
Her relationship with nails began long before they became her profession. Since she was a teenager, nails had been the part of the beauty world that consistently held her attention. She did her own nails, experimented with different designs and practiced on her mother and friends. It remained her hobby for many years.
Siranush dreamed of doing nails professionally, but she also questioned whether she could become truly good at such difficult work. After moving to the United States, she decided to give herself the opportunity to pursue the craft she had loved for years.
Things moved quickly. She became fully booked in a short period of time. Her detailed designs attracted attention and her work became recognizable. Eventually, more clients wanted appointments than she could physically accept, and she needed either to build a team or refer clients to other nearby nail technicians.
That was the moment she realized she needed to create something larger than her individual practice.
Founding Nail Art Department in Hallandale Beach
In 2017, Siranush opened Nail Art Department Studio in Hallandale Beach. What began as a way to accommodate growing client demand became a studio where she could build a team, share her standards and create a space centered on quality, precision and beautiful nail work.
Creating Nailspiracy and Nailspiracy Academy
Today, Siranush is a nail artist, educator and the creator of Nailspiracy, a professional nail ecosystem that connects studio practice, product development and education. She develops professional nail products through Nailspiracy and teaches Russian Manicure through Nailspiracy Academy, including online education, in-person classes and professional guidance.

Nail art trend maker and creator of Blue Sand nails
Siranush is recognized in the United States for precise, highly detailed nail art and for helping shape contemporary chrome nail trends. Her signature work includes isolated chrome, a controlled technique that places chrome as a distinct design element rather than covering the entire nail. Her original chrome designs have reached a wide audience through her official Instagram, @nailart.department, and have been recreated by nail artists and clients across the industry.
She is also the creator of Blue Sand nails, a chrome-based design inspired by the shifting color and movement of desert sand.
