Russian Manicure from Zero

More and more nail professionals turn to electric filing (E-file) or also know as a Russian Manicure or Modern manicure. It provides for quicker and tidier results with less physical efforts. Your wrists and neck will not get tired as the actual work will be done by the machine. Nail professionals often do not know how to chose the right tool. How to work with it properly. How each file bit should be used and at what speed. Many rely on their intuition, and that can sometimes result in nail damage and inflamed cuticle. There are many details and subtleties that you just won’t be able to master on your own.

Russian Manicure From Zero course is designed for absolute beginners, eager to enter the magical world of the nail industry, as well as for masters with experience in classical styles having no experience with E-File. This course will expand your skills to be a successful nail technician, both in the nail salon or on your own. Course be given by Siri, founder of Nail Art Department Studio.

  • Perfect filing. This means that the nails are filed in one clear shape, the proportions of length and width are maintained (the index and ring finger are the same, the nail on the middle finger is the same or slightly longer, depending on the width of the bed, on the pinky – slightly shorter than the ring finger, on the thumb – slightly longer than the middle finger).
  • The sinuses of the nail are thoroughly cleaned, there are no traces of pterygium. The lateral rollers are polished with no traces of dryness.
  • The cuticle is completely removed and polished, no burrs after a couple of days. With such cleanliness, there are no wounds or cuts.
  • The nail plate coat is perfectly aligned, with no “bumps” in the sides, with perfect architecture and, as a result, with a fashionable “perfect glare”. The color is applied under the cuticle. The 5 keys to success or whyRussian Manicure From Zero is right for you:

Course Program:

Day 1: Theory + Live Demonstration

The first day begins with a strong theoretical foundation. In the theory section, we cover:
– The tools needed to perform Russian Manicure
– The materials used in the technique
– The equipment required for safe and correct work
– The material chemistry behind product choice

A key part of Day 1 is understanding two different techniques for working with modern gel systems.
These techniques are not the same. Each one has its own specific features, physical differences, and is based on different product types. Students learn to understand these differences clearly so they can work more consciously and professionally.
We also cover instrument sterilization in detail, including every essential step, because Russian Manicure is impossible without proper sterilization protocol.

After the lunch break, the day ends with a full live demonstration on a model.

During the demonstration, I show my technique step by step and explain the physical differences between the two gel-system techniques in real work. I also often share additional professional tips, including chrome design tricks and nail art techniques, so students can see how the method works in real salon practice.

Day 2: Foundation Practice + First Model

The second day begins with practice on the student’s own hand. Students work with their dominant hand on their non-dominant hand in order to:
– Practice pressure control;
– Improve angles
– Understand hand positioning
– Build sensitivity and control
– Correct foundational mistakes

This stage is extremely important because it helps students develop the physical control needed for clean, safe, and precise work.
Certain technical processes, such as product removal and shape filing, are practiced on tips. We use specific methods that help students control pressure during removal, and tips are the best format for this stage of training.

Students also practice the three basic shapes on tips:
– Oval
– Square
– Almond

After lunch, students move on to practice with a real model. Each student works fully on one model, completing both hands — left and right.
We do not divide the hands because some stages of the technique must be performed simultaneously on both hands. A clear example is paired filing of matching fingers on opposite hands.
During this part of the course, students work under my guidance and direct supervision, so every step is corrected in real time.

Day 3: Independent Practice on the Second Model

The third day begins with work on a second model.
At this stage, students perform the technique more independently while still working under my close supervision.
The goal of Day 3 is for each student to:
– Understand every stage clearly
– Memorize the correct sequence of the service
– Gain confidence in the workflow
– Be able to perform the technique independently after leaving the class

On the second model, students complete the full technique more independently, while the instructor guides, corrects, and refines the final details where needed. After lunch, we review the work completed during the training and discuss any remaining questions.

We also cover important organizational steps, including:
– Setting up the student’s lifetime discount
– Adding students to the appropriate chats and support groups
– Collecting and organizing the starter kit
– Issuing certificates of completion

What makes this training different?

This course is not based on rushed practice without understanding. It is designed to give students a real foundation.
Students do not just watch – they learn the logic behind the technique, practice the movements, understand pressure and angles, work on tips, and complete real model work under supervision.
By the end of the training, the goal is not just to “try” Russian Manicure, but to truly understand how to perform it correctly and independently.

What you will leave with

By the end of the course, students leave with:
– A strong understanding of Russian Manicure fundamentals
– Knowledge of tools, materials, equipment, and sterilization
– A clear understanding of two modern gel-system techniques
– Practice on their own hand
– Practice on tips for removal and shaping
– Experience working on two real models
– Greater control over pressure, angles, and sequence
– A starter kit with the necessary tools and materials
– A lifetime student 10% discount
– A certificate of completion

Most importantly, students leave with the ability to continue performing the technique independently.
