A pioneering Russian Manicure studio in South Florida

Nail Art Department was founded in Hallandale Beach, Florida, in 2017 by Siranush Ambartsumian, an Armenian-born nail artist who built her career in Russia before moving to the United States.

At a time when Russian Manicure was still largely unknown in South Florida, Siranush brought the technique, precision and professional standards she had developed in Russia to a new audience. Nail Art Department became the first dedicated Russian Manicure studio in South Florida, helping introduce a different approach to nail care in the region.

More than a place for appointments

Over the years, Siranush trained many nail professionals through hands-on classes, professional courses and mentorship at Nail Art Department. Artists who studied or worked at the studio went on to develop their own styles, build independent careers and open studios and businesses of their own.

In that sense, Nail Art Department became a starting point for a generation of local nail professionals. As Russian Manicure spread throughout South Florida and evolved from a relatively unfamiliar technique into an established standard of modern nail care, the studio remained at the center of a growing community of artists, students, educators and clients.

The studio has hosted classes and professional training sessions, created jobs, and brought together people from different backgrounds through a shared passion for nail artistry. A video production crew also documented the studio and its work, including a Halloween feature that captured the creative side of the Nail Art Department community.

Nail Art Department by Nailspiracy

Nail Art Department was planned as the future studio and nail art division of Nailspiracy. The chronology simply unfolded in reverse: the working studio came first in 2017, while the wider Nailspiracy brand grew from the salon experience, product knowledge and education developed inside it.

Today, Nail Art Department by Nailspiracy is the studio and creative nail art division of that larger ecosystem. The studio has long worked within the Nailspiracy professional product system, including its dimensional chrome powders, builder gels and Cat Eye collections. Professional education continues through Nailspiracy Academy.

Together, they bring nearly a decade of practical salon experience, education, product knowledge and artistic development under one vision. What began as a pioneering Russian Manicure studio has grown into a place where techniques were introduced, artists were trained, careers began, businesses were born and a community developed.

Nail Art Department remains where it started in South Florida and continues building on the history it helped create. Nailspiracy's long-term vision includes developing a future network of branded studio locations built around the same standards of precision, product knowledge, education and nail artistry.
